Most comparisons of these two get one fact wrong: they claim SweetProcess makes you write everything by hand. It does not. SweetProcess ships a Chrome extension called Record Procedure that captures clicks, keystrokes, and screenshots into a draft, the same basic motion as Scribe. So the real question is not which one captures. It is what happens to the procedure after capture.
Pick Scribe if the output is the deliverable and you want the fastest, cleanest capture-to-share loop. Pick SweetProcess if the procedure needs an owner, an assignee, and a completion record after it is written. Scribe is a capture tool with light storage. SweetProcess is a process system with capture attached.

You produce a lot of one-off guides and the guide itself is the deliverable, often for people outside your company. You need redaction because the screens contain customer or payment data. Your team is small enough that nobody needs to be assigned a procedure or checked off against it. Scribe's Team plan runs $13 a seat billed yearly with a five-seat minimum, so it stays cheaper than SweetProcess up to around seven or eight users.
The procedure is something your team executes on a schedule rather than reads once. You need to assign an owner, hand a task to a named person, and see who finished it. SweetProcess, if you mean SOPs in the strict sense: procedures with an owner, a review cycle, and evidence the team followed them. Scribe is better at producing guides. The word SOP usually implies accountability, and accountability is the half Scribe leaves out.
